Description
Rats’ Hole is a charming, spacious, detached house in its own gardens, situated in the rural village of Mundham. It is a short car ride to the historic town of Bungay, where there are many antique shops, a castle and lovely cafés. For those who enjoy boating or bird watching, Munham is on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, and boat or canoe hire is available from Loddon (3 miles), Beccles (8 miles) or Bungay (6 miles). However, if you enjoy the city scene, Norwich is only 15 miles away, with plenty to offer. Also, Mundham is not far from the fine coasts of Norfolk and Suffolk, with Southwold being 20 miles away, famous for its local brewery, fantastic pier and unique shops. For those who prefer to stay at home, Rats’ Hole has an unheated, shared swimming pool, and lovely gardens perfect for relaxing or playing in. For the more energetic there are many varied local walks. Shop/post office 1 mile, pub serving food 3 miles.

Sitting room with wood burner and door to second sitting room with wood burner and French doors to patio. Double bedroom with two single beds (for + 2) and ensuite shower room/WC. First floor: Double bedroom. Two twin bedded rooms. Bathroom/WC with separate shower cubicle.

Reviews
Very enjoyable holiday, relaxing, superb accommodation with use of the outdoor pool and the donkey and pony kept the children and adults alike very entertained. Also the owners were very accommodating and helped out whenever they could. Would recommend and will probably go back.

Peaceful surroundings in the countryside, but not too far from beach (Southwold) and other attractions. Large cottage with plenty of space for 10 people and 2 dogs (ideal for families) Large garden area for children and dogs to play. Ideal location for dog walking.

The coastline is the major attraction here, with miles of sandy beaches stretching from historic King’s Lynn all the way round to Great Yarmouth, famous for its Golden Mile and multitude of seaside attractions and entertainments. Cromer (noted for its crabs and pier), Sheringham and Hunstanton are also firm family favourites. If you prefer something quieter during your stay in one of our holiday cottages in Norfolk, try the North Norfolk Coast, a designated Area of Natural Beauty and a haven for walkers and birdwatchers. Venture inland and you’ll discover a gently rolling landscape dotted with flint cottages and ancient churches.
The county town of Norwich is one of England’s best-preserved cities and is a joy to wander around. Don’t miss a visit to the magnificent cathedral towering above the surrounding medieval streets. East of the city lie the Norfolk Broads, a vast expanse of interconnected lakes and waterways which has long been a firm favourite with sailors. Hire a boat for a day to see them at their best. Less
well-known are the mysterious Brecks, a wilderness area of heaths and forests and one of the least-populated parts of the country.
